Container Loading/
Blocking Services

Container loading and blocking services are essential for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of goods in shipping containers. The Global Packaging & Exports team has years of experience strategically loading and securing cargo within a container to prevent damage and movement during transit.

Container Loading:

Planning:

  • Experts analyze the cargo’s dimensions, weight, fragility, and destination to determine the most efficient and secure loading plan.

Equipment:

  • Utilizing specialized equipment like forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to safely load cargo into the container.

Weight distribution:

  • Distributing weight evenly to maintain container balance and prevent tipping or damage during transportation.

Cargo Sequencing:

  • Loading items in a specific order to optimize space utilization and facilitate unloading at the destination.

Documentation:

  • Container Schematics and Bill of Lading documents, as well as any required certifications for the container load are prepared by our experienced team.

Blocking and Bracing:

Blocking:

  • Securing cargo to prevent lateral movement (side-to-side and front-to-back) within the container using materials like wooden beams, dunnage bags, or steel bracing.

Bracing:

  • Preventing vertical movement (up-and-down) by securing cargo to the container walls or ceiling using straps, chains, or other restraints.

Materials:

  • Utilizing appropriate blocking and bracing materials based on cargo weight, fragility, and transportation method.
